ABOUT 4 A Smile
EVERYTHING WE DO IS 4 A SMILE
What do we do?

4 A SMILE is a community interest company that combats issues plaguing our society such as Homelessness, Unemployment, Poverty and Mental Health. We do this through offering jobs, providing food to the homeless at our food banks, hosting career workshops to inspire the aspiring youth and much more.

How does this help?

These issues are fast growing and affect everyone in our society, whether it’s directly or indirectly and you know you cannot argue with that! For example statistics show 52% more crimes are committed in the most low income/deprived neighbourhoods. Case examples were burglaries, stabbings, intent to supply etc. Being able to nurture self development through career workshops to become job ready, or beginning our sales and marketing role could be the reason we don’t lose another person to the streets but instead create another valued member of our society.

Mental health is another growing concern especially in this day and time. It is no longer a taboo topic but something that we should be mindful of. We offer creative & therapeutic outlets such as free studio time or counselling sessions from our Designated Safeguarding Lead, this provides not only a safe working space for young adults but a trusting environment for any vulnerable person who needs our help.

It is important that we note the current cost of living crisis. It is extremely hard for low income families at this time and with colder seasons fast approaching our homelessness care packages are making all the difference. Offering hot meals, clothes, toiletries and basic necessities to ensure the coming months are less harsh on the people who are feeling the effects the most.

Through our sales and marketing job key skills that are needed in life such as facing rejection, speaking skills, confidence and money management are instilled into you. This alone is shaping the less advantaged youth we take in and allowing them to gain new opportunities every single day. Investing in the youth is the best thing we can do to protect the future of our communities, after all the youth are the future.
